Tiger Woods isn’t interested in a chauffeur — and a source close to the situation says his desire for USA privacy is the reason why. Days after the golf legend was arrested and charged with DUI with property damage near Jupiter Island, Florida on March 27, Magazine is USA reporting exclusively that Woods has declined to hire a personal driver despite the incident.
According to the source, Woods, 50, “doesn’t want anyone to watch over him or know what he is doing,” adding that “he thinks he is fine to drive.” The March 27 crash involved Woods’ Land Rover and a USA pressure-cleaning truck pulling a small trailer, according to Martin County Sheriff John M. Budensiek.

They reportedly added ... "He is enabled by people making money off of his talent and reputation, but with his injuries and age, he is frustrated and depressed about his state of health. He wants to play in major tournaments like the Masters, but he needs to get real. Once he does that, he should be better off because people do like Tiger. He is a good person."

As you know ... Tiger crashed his Range Rover Friday, rolling it over, and was subsequently arrested for DUI by the Martin County Sheriff's Department in Jupiter, Florida. TW was traveling at a high rate of speed on a two-lane road when he clipped the back of a pickup truck, according to authorities.

Tiger Woods’ partner and ex-daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, Vanessa, has spoken out after the golfer was arrested on DUI charges on Friday (27 March).

On Friday, the 15-time major winner was involved in a car accident when his Land Rover clipped a truck at a “high rate of speed” on Jupiter Island, causing Woods’ vehicle to roll over.

Following the incident, officers said that Woods crawled out of the passenger-side door before he was breathalysed. The 50-year-old also refused to undertake a urine test.

While Woods was confirmed to have exhibited signs of impairment, authorities stated they were not suspicious of alcohol being involved — a detail that proved accurate when Woods blew “triple zeroes” on the breathalyzer at jail. He was also charged with refusal to submit to a lawful test. Woods bonded out and was released from Martin County jail the same day.
The source describes Woods as intensely private, saying “he is not a social butterfly and prefers to hang around his home with his kids, or hitting balls, or playing video games,” adding that “he despises public scrutiny.” A representative for Woods did not respond to People’s request for comment.
This is not Woods’ first brush with legal trouble behind the wheel. He was previously charged with DUI in 2017 after police found him asleep in his car in Jupiter Island, ultimately pleading guilty to reckless driving and receiving a fine, one-year probation, and entering a diversion program. He has also been involved in two other car accidents — a 2021 crash in Los Angeles that required surgery, and a 2009 incident near his Florida residence.
On the personal front, the source notes that Woods is currently dating Vanessa Trump, 48, and that she has “settled right into their dating life.” Woods shares two teenage children — daughter Sam, 18, and son Charlie, 17 — with ex-wife Elin Nordegren.

Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek claimed that officers did not suspect Woods of alcohol impairment, with the golfer returning “triple zeros”.

Woods was charged with driving under the influence, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. It is unclear what alleged substance led to the DUI charge.The golfer was detained for eight hours before being released on bail. No one was injured in the incident.Since Woods’ arrest, several notable names have spoken publicly, with US President Trump saying that he “feels so badly” for the golfer before adding: “He’s got some difficulty. Woods is currently dating Vanessa, who was previously married to the President’s son, Donald Jr, before the pair divorced in 2018.Following Friday’s incident, Vanessa’s alleged true feelings on Woods’ situation were reported by PEOPLE, with a source telling the outlet that she remains “happy” with her boyfriend despite having “her hands full sometimes”.The pair have been dating for over a year.

“Vanessa and Tiger are in love,” the source told PEOPLE.“She is very supportive of his golf endeavours because, despite his age and injuries, golf dominates Tiger’s life.

“They are good together as they both have golf in their lives. That propels the romance in a certain sense.“She has her hands full sometimes, but Vanessa also has a life of her own and children to care for, so she isn’t around it all the time.”Woods has previously dated Swedish model Elin Nordegren, as well as Erica Herman and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn.

The 50-year-old has two children, a daughter named Sam and a son named Charlie, with ex-wife Nordegren, while Vanessa has five children – Kai, Donald, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe – with her ex-husband Donald Jr.“She has her hands full sometimes, but Vanessa also has a life of her own and children to care for, so she isn’t around it all the time,” the source continued.“She is happy with him and any issues they have are not about her. It’s dealing with his frustrations about playing great golf and his pain, which at times is really confining.“Vanessa has settled right into their dating life due to the similarities in their current situations, with kids, great weather on their doorstep, golf in their lives, and school projects for their children.”The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has issued a further update on Tiger Woods after the 15-time major winner was arrested on charges of driving under the influence.

USA Officers at the scene explained that Woods had to crawl out of the passenger-side door before he passed a breathalyser test. However, he refused a urine test.Sheriff John Budensiak said the 50-year-old had tried to overtake the truck at a “high rate of speed”.Budensiak explained: “They did several tests on him.“He did explain the injuries and surgeries that he’s had, and we did take that into account, but they did some in-depth roadside tests.”

USA Officers had not suspected him of alcohol impairment, but possibly an unknown substance.

After revealing that Woods had passed the breathalyser test with “triple zeros”, he added: “He has a right to refuse that test.

“There is a statute under which he will be charged for refusing to take that test, but we will never get definitive results as to what he was impaired by at the time of the crash.”The sheriff then went on to say that the situation “could’ve been a lot worse” if someone had been driving in the opposite lane.The golfer was detained for eight hours before being released on bail.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.A mugshot was later released by the Martin County Sheriff’s OfficeWoods has also been charged with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.Friday’s crash was the latest in a string of vehicle-related incidents involving the golfer. In February 2021, the vehicle he was driving ran off the road in Los Angeles, causing leg and ankle injuries.

Woods was also arrested and charged with DUI in 2017 after police found him asleep at the wheel in Florida. The 50-year-old pleaded guilty to reckless driving.

Also in 2009, he crashed into a fire hydrant outside his home in Florida. This resulted in his then-wife, Elin Nordegren, confronting him before it emerged that Woods had been having multiple affairs, causing him to lose several sponsorship deals and take a break from golf. The pair divorced in 2010.
