How to Create Freelancer Account on Fiverr?

To join Fiverr as a freelancer and start offering your USA services, follow these steps:

‍Go to the USA Fiverr website and click on 'Join'.

  1. Register using your email, Google, Apple, or Facebook account.
  2. Pick a username that represents your freelancing brand.
  3. Click 'Create my account'.
  4. Enter the verification that was sent to your email by Fiverr.
  5. To join as a freelancer, select 'Selling freelance services' as your role in Fiverr.
  6. Click 'Next'.
  7. Choose from the menu which type of freelancer is your style.
  8. Click 'Next'.
  9. Select your freelancing experience and click 'Finish'.
  10. That's it! You have successfully joined Fiverr as a freelancer. Now you can start exploring your seller profile.

Fiverr accounts start as buyer accounts. To offer your services and create Gigs, you'll need to activate your freelancer profile.

How to create and activate your freelancer account

All freelancers are reviewed during the sign-up and Gig creation process and are subject to approval by Fiverr.

  1. Note: The process includes watching three videos on How to use Fiverr as a freelancer.

  2. After watching the videos, you'll see Fiverr's tips on:

    • Creating a successful Fiverr profile
    • Avoiding common freelancer mistakes

    Click 'Continue' to proceed.

  3. Complete the mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*).

    Note: Be sure to complete your onboarding using only truthful and accurate information regarding your training, working experience, and skills. The more accurate and detailed the information you add is, the better your freelancer profile will be.
  4. At the end of the onboarding process, you'll need to phone verify your account.
     
  5. The final step is to 'Create Your First Gig' to offer your services as a freelancer on Fiverr!

Creating & editing your freelancer profile

Your profile is how you showcase your expertise and professional appearance to the community. By providing a complete and authentic profile, you enhance your visibility and build trust with potential clients, establishing a reliable and professional presence on our platform.

How to initiate the process?

  • Existing Fiverr users: If you are selling for the first time, and already have an account,
    click on your Profile picture "Become a Seller".
  • New users: If you intend to become a freelancer in your account set up, you will
    automatically be navigated to create your freelancer profile. Create an account to
    become a Fiverr freelancer.

Once you're done, click Continue to create your freelancer profile. You will be asked if you work as an individual or team and you have the option to add personal website links, which will not be shared with other users.

You will then be navigated to your freelancer dashboard. To make your profile visible to clients, just complete the New freelancer onboarding tasks on your dashboard. This helps you get set up for success and ready to start working.

If you leave the page during the profile creation process, your progress will be saved.

Editing your profile

To edit your existing freelancer profile, go to your dashboard and click “View profile.” Locate the current field you wish to edit then click the pencil to edit the information. Make sure you click save to keep the changes made.

Phone verification: Secure your Fiverr account

Phone verification is a security measure that links the phone number to your Fiverr account. It helps enhance your account security and maintain trust within the marketplace, while meeting required security standards.

Who is it for?

  • All freelancers on Fiverr must verify their phone numbers before offering services. This step is necessary for the Gig creation process.
  • While it’s not required for clients, we recommend completing it to add extra protection to the account. |

Before you begin

Keep these few key points in mind to ensure the verification process goes smoothly:

  • The phone number you're using is operational, valid, and reliable.
  • The verification process must be initiated via a desktop/PC and cannot be completed on a mobile device.
  • If you don't have a mobile phone, you can verify your account via an SMS-enabled landline or by receiving a call.
  • A phone number can be associated with only one Fiverr account.
  • Ensure "Do Not Disturb" is turned off.
  • Google Voice and similar VOIP services are not supported.
